Acupuncture

Acupuncture is made up of the words “acus” and “punctura”. It means sticking a needle into the point. It is a form of treatment applied by inserting disposable sterile needles manufactured for this purpose into certain points on the body. Temporary and permanent needles can be used during this treatment. Temporary needles are removed immediately after the session, and permanent needles can remain in the patient’s body for 7-10 days. In addition to needle acupuncture, electro acupuncture, laser acupuncture and moxa methods can also be used in treatment. Your doctor will advise you which acupuncture method will be used for you. It is the best known of the alternative and complementary treatment methods.

Acupuncture can be used as a treatment method under appropriate conditions by acupuncture doctors.

It is a treatable disease that shortens human life, negatively affects the quality of life, as well as systems such as the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, hormonal system and digestive system, and paves the way for many important ailments.
  • Acupuncture regulates the appetite by affecting the appetite centre in the brain.
  • Acupuncture reduces stomach acid secretion; the person does not feel stomach pain during diet.
  • Acupuncture prevents fatigue and exhaustion during dieting and gives energy to the person.
  • Acupuncture regulates the metabolic rate. The patient, who undergoes acupuncture treatment, manages to lose weight more easily than the diets he makes on his own.
  • Acupuncture makes dieting easier.
  • Acupuncture increases serotonin and endorphin levels and gives peace of mind during diet. The patient does not become restless and irritable.
