Ozone Therapy

Ozone is a high-energy, active form of oxygen. It is a colourless gas with a characteristic scent at room temperature. Ozone Therapy is a treatment method applied under the control of a doctor with special devices that produce ozone from oxygen. We can apply ozone therapy with 10 different methods.

Major Ozone therapy is the most well-known of these. 50-200 ml of blood is taken and the appropriate dose of ozone is given to the patient through the vein. The procedure, which is done with completely sterile and disposable materials, takes 15-20 minutes.

In the minor method, 2-5 cc of blood is mixed with ozone gas at the determined dose and volume and injected into the muscle. It can also be applied with methods such as intra articular, in-ear, bagging method, ozone sauna.

Ozone, which we apply by choosing one of these methods, dissolves rapidly in all body fluids and blood. Although it is known as an oxidant substance, it increases the oxidative stress effect and triggered antioxidant activity with frequently repeated and small doses. Thus, the therapeutic effect is seen.

  • Activates our antioxidant system
  • Increases cell regeneration
  • It increases the transport of oxygen to the tissues
  • It increases our microcirculation (increases the vasodilating substance known as “NO – Nitric oxide”).
  • Prevents blood from clotting
  • It increases the mobility and elasticity of our red blood cells, which we call erythrocyte
  • Sterilizer and disinfectant are effective. Kills viruses, bacteria and fungi
  • Suppresses inflammation
  • It is anti allergic
  • It reduces allergy complaints, which are triggered especially during seasonal transitions
  • It stimulates and regulates the immune system and, if applied in high doses, suppresses our immune system, which is necessary in some diseases
  • It increases the functions of our infection-fighting white blood cells, which we call leukocytes. In particular, it increases the release of interferon, which is necessary to kill viruses.
  • It reduces your blood fats. (Triglyceride and cholesterol)
  • Painkiller

The diseases in which the application of ozone is prohibited is extremely limited.

  • In diseases called favism (GL-6-F dehydrogenase enzyme deficiency) with an enzyme deficiency in red blood cells
  • In excessive alcohol use
  • hyperthyroidism
  • In advanced anaemia and some blood-related disorders (haemophilia, bleeding coagulation diseases)
  • chronic recurrent pancreatic inflammation
  • Newly developed cardiac infarction and cerebral palsy with active bleeding
  • Those who are allergic or intolerant to ozone (it is a very rare condition)

Ozone therapy, which is a natural treatment method that has been widely used all over the world for a long time, has very few side effects. Rarely, hypotension may occur after a temporary and short-term application. Negative effects may rarely be seen due to incorrect application technique and wrong dose selection.

What is a Recovery Crisis?

O3, ozone concentration may occur in those whose Total Antioxidant level is incompatible with activation values.

  • It usually occurs in 2-3 sessions. It takes 2-7 days on average. It does not occur simultaneously during treatment.
  • It is seen as an increase in existing symptoms or the addition of different symptoms before treatment.
  • It can be mild, moderate or severe.
  • It may present as weakness, headache, insomnia, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, skin rashes and flu-like symptoms.
